Winter: December – February Average high and lows 33°F/16°F. Snowshoe transforms into a winter wonderland, offering excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding. Be prepared for cold temperatures and wind. Pack appropriate winter clothing to stay warm during your outdoor adventures.
Spring: March – May Temperatures gradually rise, with averages between 52°F and 32°F. Early spring can still be chilly, especially in the morning, so packing layers is advisable. Spring moves in a little late around Snowshoe, but as we move from April into May, the landscape begins to bloom and the days begin to warm.
Summer: June – August Beat the heat and enjoy mild summer temperatures, with an average high of 70°F and lows around 54°F. Snowshoe’s mild conditions are perfect for mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and other outdoor activities. Always be prepared for an occasional rainfall, and keep in mind that evenings can be breezy and chilly.
Fall: September – November Fall brings cooler temperatures, ranging from 55°F to 39°F . The crisp air and vibrant foliage make it a favorite season for many visitors. Dressing in layers will help you stay comfortable as temperatures can vary throughout the day.
